Our mission at His Special Kids has changed over the years, but remains true to the idea that we battle problems in our family’s lives with the Sword of the Spirit.
As Christians, we are all called to a life in the Holy Spirit, however, special needs parenting requires extra diligence as we manage our children’s health care and other special needs.
Far too many challenges come with raising a special needs kid (or more than one kid), and prayer must remain central to all that we do in the care of our children. Not the prayers of religion, mind you, but prayer that comes in the laying down of our burdens before a mighty God. Prayers born of a broken heart over the needs of our children and our families. It is this praying in the Holy Spirit that challenges us to follow Him in the care of our children.
Our mission at His Special Kids’ is to empower that growth in us as parents and caregivers, through the Holy Spirit. It is in our own healing that our children become His Special Kids. It is through the process of being broken ourselves, as parents, that we are able to raise Godly children.
This is my prayer for those who cross our paths as special needs parents and caregivers.
